Philip Lieberman, Founder and President

Philip Lieberman has built cybersecurity software since 1993. He is widely credited with creating the field of privileged identity management: finding, securing, and automatically changing the administrator, service, and application credentials that attackers use to take over a network.

Starting in 1993, when he founded Lieberman and Associates, later Lieberman Software Corporation, he made fundamental contributions to IT mass management and to privileged identity management. His tools solved a problem every administrator of a large network faced: making the same security change on thousands of systems at once, and proving that it was done.

Philip holds a degree in physics with minors in computer science and business, along with multiple patents in computer science and cybersecurity technology. He has authored multiple books and articles and is frequently quoted in the media for his cybersecurity expertise.

Development and Support Staff

Members of our management, development, support, marketing, and sales teams have worked together in cybersecurity and privilege management for up to 20 years.

A clean sheet design

Analog Informatics breaks from legacy designs and limitations to address today's cybersecurity needs. The team started from a clean sheet instead of extending an older product. The platform was designed to deliver, in one solution, the capabilities analysts and customers require of privileged access, identity security, and compliance evidence. The alternative is a set of separate products joined after the fact.

That means privileged identity management, privileged access management, privileged user management, identity governance, threat detection, Current State Compliance, and the Assessment Binder share one data model and one console. The same design runs in the cloud, on premises, hybrid, and air-gapped.

Built for the US Defense Industrial Base

As a United States company, Analog Informatics saw how hard it has been for the Department of War (DoW) to bring subcontractors into Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC). Small suppliers lack the technology, the training, and the staff to build a compliant environment by hand.

In response, the team built AIC CMMC Complete™: an easy-to-deploy, comprehensive kit for CMMC Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3, priced to strengthen the US Defense Industrial Base.

This kind of innovation is not new for this team. Mr. Lieberman developed the first privilege management product for the Defense Industrial Base (DIB) and the Intelligence Community (IC) that was built to National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) SP 800-53 requirements. After testing by the US Army, the IC, and other agencies, it was placed on the federal list of approved products, so agencies could acquire it without a separate request for proposal.
